Advantages and disadvantages of Interactive Brokers

hi guys,

I'm considering trying Interactive Brokers and would like to hear from traders who are using them or have used them. What do you think about them? Is their platform robust enough? Pros and cons? thanks

Interactive Brokers are well known for rock-bottom rates. their platform is kind of spartan, if you know what I mean (no bells and whistles).

Overall, I think they deserve to be given a shot. it depends on the type of trading you are into, of course.

if you are into high frequency scalping, leave interactive brokers alone. they are just too slow for that kind of trading.
