I'm glad to inform everyone who hasn't noticed yet that Trading-Lab has proudly reached and surpassed an important milestone: our first 1000 posts!!! Actually, it's 1024 posts and growing as I write. Thread count is at 192 which is also very good, considering again, no official promotion has been done as of yet.

Since Trading-Lab traffic is on the rise and we are getting ready for the official launch, we decided it was about time to do some optimization in terms of website speed. The Trading-Lab home page contents are now being cached, as opposed to being taken directly from the database on every page load as it was the case until now. Caching techniques enable webmasters to store not frequently changing elements and content so that page serving speed is improved.
it's been quite awhile since my last blog entry. It's been almost 4 months, to be precise. Some of you asked why I don't regularly post in my blog. The reason why is that my blog is not supposed to be a "trading blog". Rather, it's supposed to be a "News and Development" kind of blog, where I post anything related to Trading-Lab improvements, news, etc. And since there has not been any significant improvement since my last post...
I wanted to give you a little update on how the site is doing. As you can see, a few members have already registered. 17, to be precise. That's good, considering I haven't really done any promotion yet. That's mostly resulting from word of mouth. Members seem to like the idea of a community website free from sponsors and the like.

just wanted to share some details with you about what Trading-Lab is running in terms of software packages.
As many of you have probably already figured out, Trading-Lab is powered by vBulletin, a very powerful and the best forums solution currently available on the market. It's currently running the latest released version which is 3.6.7 PL1. I only slightly modified the original "canned" version of the software to make it more Trading-Lab style .
