FED cut another 25 basis points, now what?

so the FED cut interest rates for the second time this year by another 25 basis points. Did we really need this cut? Do you really think these cuts will help ease the strain of housing slump on the economy? What would be the global effects of this?

I would say there's more to the whole picture than just a couple of interest rate cuts. what about the US$, losing its value against other currencies day in day out?
