dochian w/ exp mov average?
For technicals i am using 2 dochian channels set at 15 and 5, and it's been working good. I was waiting for a green candle to reach the top channel before entering, however i feel i'm missing some great entry opportunities. I'm thinking of adding a exp mov average and entering when the exp mov crosses my doch 5... whatcha think?
douche w exp.jpg Thanks in advance... RiO

Rio, have you analyzed Keltner Bands? Your strategy is coming along nicely, GL in keeping the money management tight.
Next round I'm a player. You get a new crew yet? Still working the trip down your way. | |

Great Job Rio!!! I have noticed that your understanding of things has come a very long way in such a short amount of time..im actually quite jealous...your dedication and patience is refreshing!
It's funny, but I kind of find it ironic that the more patient you are, understanding markets seems to come quicker and easier. Conversely, people that tend to be impatient end up having a more difficult time grasping things and end up prolonging thier learning curve. Then again, my brain could just be spasming and my ironic viewpoint may just be a load of crap! Khaun..you have got to go to Rio....the women. You'll never be the same!

No crews for me... Rambo style... See ya next round... Thanks for the shot in the arm. Jan n' Feb were tough months mentally with the passing of my father in law and a market suffering from severe pms. This month has been much better, thanks to longer meditations and stronger medications... lol It does good to sit out a couple weeks and just absorb whats going on. No added mental stress as to personal stocks in play. This week actually marks 6 months of actual trading and i don't think i could be happier. Thanks to you and few others, this has been quite a ride. Back to the post at hand, after further testing the exp mov average doesn't really work well with my system, your right again, to many false positives. No biggie, i'll continue to tweak and try other things.. RiO

Rio, be careful of the "rush". Emotions for losing trades will be as strong or stronger. Trade like a machine. Take your losses, take your wins, validate you system. Minimal emotion. It is an "odds and probabilities" game (daytrading).

Hey Sov, my bad, "rush" was not the best choice of words I admit, let's try fascinating. Emotions are no doubt a useless tool for trading.
