trading from home and dealing with distractions

Hello everybody,

home traders, current and former, how do you deal with home distractions during the trading day? I mean, the phone rings, delivery at the door, neighbor's dog barking all day, children screaming in the street. sometimes I would just like to get dressed up and go out looking for an office.

how do you deal with all these distractions? Am i the only one experiencing this?

It's all "combat noise". Focus.

And turn off the phone!

That's kind of cruel don't you think? What did that poor doorbell do to you?

trading from home can be a pain in the neck. I know. I speak from experience. Problem is, unless you decide to trade from an office, you really have no other alternatives but to deal with it.

If you can, throw a set of dumbells or treadmill in your trading room. Good use of energy between setups and keeps the metabolism moving. Also helps me expend all the caffeine!

Of course rapid scalping while on the treadmill may hurt your financial health!!
