I trade from my home office on a Thompson One platform which incorporates a T1 connection. I like the fact that in two years I have had zero minutes of downtime during US market hours. I would never go "rent an office" somewhere because that defeats the purpose of trading from home, which is the convenience of walking down the stairs and making a left is the grand total of my commute.
